Billo connects billers directly to a growing network of consumers across Canada, the US, and Mexico. One integration. Instant settlement. No reconciliation headaches.
Billo users search for billers by name every day. If you're not in the network, someone else is collecting that payment.
We've made onboarding as fast as possible. For most billers, the application takes 10 minutes and review takes 5–7 business days.
We charge a small per-transaction fee to cover processing costs. No setup fees. No monthly minimums. No hidden charges.
Any legitimate business that issues recurring or one-time bills to customers can apply. This includes utilities, telecom providers, healthcare providers, gyms, condo corporations, landlords, private schools, and more. We review each application to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
No API integration is required to get started. Your biller profile is configured on our side. Payments arrive in your bank account with structured reference data — just like a regular bank transfer, but with clean metadata attached. Advanced API access is available on Growth and Enterprise plans for deeper integration.
Customers find you by searching your business name in the Billo app. They enter their account number (from their bill), choose an amount, and pay. You don't need to do anything to prompt individual payments — being in the directory is enough. You can optionally send payment request links via email or SMS using our Biller Dashboard.
Settlements are same-day for payments processed before 3pm local time, next business day for later payments. We support CAD (via Interac e-Transfer and EFT), USD (via ACH and Real-Time Payments), and MXN (via SPEI). All cross-border FX is handled transparently on the payer side — you always receive in your local currency.
We'll notify you by email with the specific reason for the rejection and, where possible, what you can do to reapply. Common reasons include incomplete business documentation, operating in a restricted category, or inability to verify the business registration. Most rejections can be resolved with additional documentation.
